I had watched a performance a month ago and I was totally inspired by several troupes that used didgeridoo music. Now I have all of these ideas in my head of what direction I want my troupe to go in for our next routine & costuming. While I was searching for some of the songs I found a few I really like...but there is one from the performance that I really would love to use for our own routine. Mind you, my troupe is Tribal Fusion...and the performance I observed was ATS. Would it be weird if I picked the same song (and obviously did completely different choreography)? The reason why I'm asking is because I may book our troupe to perform at the next Belly Jam sponsored by the same people who did the last one I had watched. That means that very same troupe will be performing there (and will definitely not be using that same song & dance). What do you think?

Re: Music related question
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 8:48 PMThe troupe in question operates independently from the people who run the Belly Jam ... it might not be such a hot idea to use that music so soon after they performed with it. But you can ask them what they think, and go with what they say.
I'm going to pass on to you privately the troupe director's e-mail contact, if you want to get in touch with her ... -
