i saw a dancer perform to this song last night, and i am still playing it over and over in my head. it was one of the most sensuous and beautiful songs i've ever heard. it was very slow and i believe it's an old song. the music was very simple guitar, and the man's voice was just... well, it made me swoon. i really think it was a love song about a woman named "jamila", because he kept singing "oh, jamila, jamilaaaaa"

i should mention that the dancer told me his name... it was john...something. she couldn't spell the last name and i remember what it was now to try to phoeneticize it for ya'll... but she also said it was from a bellydance record with picture of a dancer sitting on a black and white tile floor.

any ideas?
